My Loss of Faith
[quote=chris62008][quote=BlueBlazer] My opinion is that I do not know how the universe and all that is in it came to be, but I don't believe your god made it happen.
How old are you? Seriously.
If you do not know how the universe and "all that" came to be than how do you know if my God made it or not? YOU KNOW NOTHING!!! and you even said it yourself!!! hahahahahahahahahaha... im gonna go smoke one now... hahahahaha GO COWBOYS!!! :rasta:BlueBlazer Reviewed by BlueBlazer on . My Loss of Faith I used to be very religious. I even married a lady that used to be a nun. Now I can't stomach the thought of it all. Look in the eyes of a starving, dying child. Is there God? The child prays every night for nothing more than simple food. Does God answer? If God can't answer the most simple prayer of a dying child, why would he give a fuck about anything I pray about? If God can't protect the weakest of us all, how could we say any of us are cared for by a loving god? I've fallen Rating: 5

Because debating you is like debating my 9 year old grandson.

Do you know how your cell phone was made? What exactly makes it work? Oh, you don't know?!? Well that just proves that Big Foot made it.

these were the very questions Mother Theresa wrote in her journal during her final days of life when she too lost her faith.

Ya right. So far, for the history of man, the meek have inherited brutality, starvation, disease and all forms of abuse and suffering.

Yes I agree. I believe god is a much more advanced alien race that sent life to earth on a probe. This original life evolved into the vast tree of life through evolution. It is so obvious when you look at an animals face (not much fundamentally different than us, they have eyes ears mouth etc.), that we are all distant relatives. We share DNA even with bacteria. In some cases this DNA is 2 billion years old that has been passed down through countless generations of life. Something created life and it all boils down to one qustion: was life created on earth through random chemical processes or was it perhaps placed here by an intelligent technological culture? All the Earth creatures are linked to the ocean we are all connected. If god is an alien culture they may be dead by now. Or perhaps they are on their way here right now, it takes a long time to travel through space. Either way the original architects of life on Earth who started evolution (the gods) have no control over what happens on Earth. They are long gone.

well thats what happens when you start to "walk by sight" and not "by faith" you start 2 question what you thought was true and in the end, your left feeling more misrable than when u started cause you left the source of truth and life. :hippy:

Faith means believing in something that isn't proven. Sight means believing it what has been proven. I don't have faith in gravity, I know it is real. I don't have belief in god, because any god's existence is unproven and doesn't make sense. I left the "source of truth and life" a long time ago and I am far from miserable. I enjoy my life very much, thank you . . . and I have my Sundays free.

way to go on keeping things in its proper context, i mean what are u doing, compairing apples and oranges and concluding there both the same........ any ways id rather put my faith in a loving god than people, goverment churches ect ect cause in the end they will all let you down one way or another, but god is more than faithfull if we CONTINUE to put our trust in him and not lose heart.

No, I'm pointing out that faith, by definition, means believing in something unproven. You believe you are right about god, but you do not know you are right about god. The existence of god is not a proven fact, such as the law of gravity.
