Oh and I almost forgot the biggest "Duh" of it all.

1. They say we need to reduce our C02 levels.
2. Any grower does what? Increased the Co2 in their room for what reason? More growth
3. Plants consume what?? C02
4. Plants as a byproduct of eating Co2 emit what? OXYGEN
5. The current Co2 levels for the planet according to C02now.org are averaging 384ppm.
6. We do what in our grow rooms? Increase that to 1500ppm - 1800ppm

Last I checked, Oxygen is vital to every living creature on this planet.

Now is there something there I don't understand? Am I missing something?

hmm, this might make sense if we weren't cutting down the very forests that consume these massive amounts c02 (avg for the planet used to be closer to 250 ppm max!) , the increase has steadily gone up over the last 150 years (industrial revolution), its not just the emissions, its a combination of horrible miscalculations in resource use --- now, if we had fields and fields of hemp growing annually that could use these c02 levels (cannabis grows at a much higher rate than most plants) that could replace some of our deforestation down at the same time, this would be a much different story.


---interesting side note, I woke up today to THE FIRST SNOW OF THE YEAR...... not so surprising unless you consider I live in MONTANA, where in the last 20 years we have gone from 3+ feet from mid October to early April, to now we maybe lucky to get snow from December to February and very rarely get more than a foot

Taking individual temps in various locations isn't the way to determine global warming. And if the earth is warming enough to stop snow, that would be more than a simple degree or two of change. These are localized events. Just as here in my state, we had the coldest winter we ever had last year and this year it's following the same. Is that enough to say we're actually cooling? No, it's just as stupid to say that as it is to say we're warming because a winter here or there has been delayed. It's called an Indian Summer and we've had them since earth has had a climate.

60 degrees in Philadelphia the end of November in 09. When I was a kid the beginning of December was ice skating weather and it lasted until late February, early March. To me that shows global warming. Debate all you want, but the Mid-Atlantic states are getting warming during the winter. Short term??? I doubt it. hell man, I remember huge ass snow storms before Halloween ever hit, then couple years back I am doing the dishes on new years day looking out the kitchen window at the green leaves on the trees thinkn.. hmm something wrong here. Not saying shit about global warming, just saying, I remember when it used to snow instead of rain during the winter

but I don't want to argue either, I don't pretend to know exactly whats going on and it would be rediculous to assume some individuals aren't going to try to make money off of an entire generation moving towards sustainable energy, but it is just plain ignorant to assume that we are not damaging this planet as a whole. If the only thing we were doing was polluting on a massive scale, maybe that wouldn't be enough to change it all, but the fact is people are EVERYWHERE, in every inhabitable space, and they completely change the landscape and the biochemistry of every environment, WE ARE NOT A "LOCALIZED SPECIES".

I wasn't ignoring the co2 argument TC42o, I think it's rather idiotic to think that the level we're deforesting can have any real effect, especially since forest corporations are required to replant every location they cut out.

Oh btw, North Texas just got dumped on with snow. Does that mean we're in a cooling trend now?

^LOL. Im trying to really think if it is real or not, i mean it could just be made up. It's just how earth changes cycles and we're probably in the beginning of the end. It is history in the books of how earth had ice age's and new york was once 3 miles under ice or something like that. (source: history channel). Please don't misrepresent Australian politics to support your conspiracy theories.

Tony Abbott, Sophie Mirabella, Tony Smith and Senators Nick Minchin and Eric Abetz are not "top government officials", they are not even members of the party that currently forms the federal government.

They are members of the opposition and their threats to resign from the shadow ministry had more to do with an internal struggle for leadership of the Liberal/National coalition than it did the details of the government's proposed Emissions Trading Scheme.

As a result, in the last few days Australia's "flat earthers" have taken control of the opposition party by forcing a leadership spill that replaced Malcolm Turnbill with Tony Abbott (aka the mad monk) as leader of the opposition by a single vote.

Leading commentators on Australian federal politics expect this move will keep the Liberal/National coalition firmly in opposition for at least the next decade.

watching the mainstream medias coverage of climategate in europe is intresting..sky news has hardly touched it since the emails were leaked two weeks ago..its only just appeared on the front cover of the daily express in england and ireland.. its obvious the main stream is hushing this up..none of my friends have even heard about it( or even care)... it looks like were heading into a new age where governments can fool people openly and they will accept it.

they are just creating problems to try solve them....
