alright so I grow in an attic with a a limited amount of space, so i try to use as much of it as I can. I have each room(veg and flower) blocked off and totally sealed with black painters plastic and duct tape. Daytime temps are around the mid seventies, and nightimes temps are in the mid 60's to mid 50's depending on the weather.

For my flower room I use a 1000w hps. When I first started growing i went to the grow shop and thought go big or go home and got the 1000w. I regret that decision today because of the heat it produces, power it uses, and I think that 1000w for this small of area is fucking overkill. A 600 or 400 would be fine.

In my veg room I use a 4 bulb t5 fixture and put it as close as I can to the plants. I veg my mothers this way and veg all my clones under these lights and really like them. They dont put off that much heat and if put close enough to the plants, creates sufficient light.
Under the table from my mothers I have one t5 on top of my humidity with my rooting clones.

I use fox farm nutrients, with mollasses, and occasionally ill give them superthrive(really perks them up, I notice explosive growth sometimes after I give them some with some bloom ferts). I feed them fertalizer every other watering. Right now all of the ph are around 6.5-7 so Im all good there.


I have 14 plants in the flower room , but i topped them all so their are so many big tops you cant distinguish one plant from the other. I do have a screen that the plants have already grown through but its kinda hard to see. I like topping and using a screen because it trains all of the tops and holds them up. I have many plants in different parts of flower so that I can harvest weed every couple of weeks. 8 are two weeks into flower, 3 are almost done(yellow leaves), and 3 are four weeks into flower.

Hey finally your own show! Nice finished product... I am guessing if you reconfigure your grow space or get a new one, you will still be better off having that 1000w light. I went with the 400w club and its ok but I now think with my space 600w was what I should have got. I am sure you can sell it on craigs or something else and then down grade to a more suitable size if your keeping the same space.... Nice pics
