need help on a grow box

Lol, yeah what he said. It's actually just one 23w 6500K compact fluoro, but there's also a 42w 2700K on it now and I'm starting to LST her to maximize the bushiness. It's also a dwarf autoflowering strain, I'm hoping to fill one of those glass cages for chameleons and such, 18x18x24. The strain's not supposed to get more than like 20" grown inside.

Now you have 8 plants right? 2x2 is the floor space? That leaves you with two plants per square foot if all females and like 1875 lumens per square foot. Thats fine, much better than before, but realise your not going to get those nugs all that dense. I'd keep two females with that setup and some sort of training to maximize the lighting. Pic of the new box would help.

I wouldn't use those shop lights if they're the halogen square things, too much heat for the amount and quality of light they give.

Are you all set with nutes and all that you'll need soon? If not, now's the time

Looks a lot better man. If that light fixture isn't movable, may I suggest a few dvd or cd cases to keep the plants up within range. They give lots of adjustability being less than half an inch thick. What are your temps running at right now? I've heard and somewhat experienced that you can actually run your temps up to 95 if you add co2 and keep the soil somewhat cool, although of course it's best to stay in optimum range if you can.

Personally dude, your cheating yourself by not using some good qaulity potting soil. Its really not that expensive and it will retain moisture well , while being alot easier for roots to penetrate and flourish. Probably willl give you better product and better yield too.

From what it sounds like you have some good strains, dont limit your production by grabbing some dirt from your backyard and hoping all goes well.

Questions are great but you would think he might want to say ''look what i did'', not ''look what everyone told me to do:wtf:

Stick to the other Thread, cuz most of the important stuff is there. You can read a ton of how to make a ''grow box''. That way you can say ''look what I built''. Only way to learn is read and read more, everyone will tell ya this. Oh and a can of air will fix your keyboard:rasta:
