Have the oppertunity to get a 3phase 400W MH light for cheap!! Would this work?

The bulb and hood are pointed straight down. This light is from a warehouse ... anyways... I am thinking I could modify the hood and come up with a way to support the ballast and light sideways that way I get more light in a larger area.
Would this work for a small 5ft tall by 8ft long by 4ft wide. I was planning on getting two lights. ($20 each) I also have two "utility" floro set ups with 2 lights each.
Or is it not a good idea? Just save money and get a HPS/MH set up in a few months?
    Thanks:hippy:

Its 3 phase. So you won't be able to use it at home unless you have 3 phase to single phase converter
