I feel that if more humans felt able to own up to the responsibility of being alive and present, they would question to a much larger degree. This would lead to social movement. I wish picketing, and rioting, etc. did something useful, but so far it just riles up the folks who were already riled. Socialism has shown me that humans are still stuck in a dysfunctional tribal modality in which, at least in Western society, we can even keep our tribes distant from each other, and isolated in boxes, and yet still remain in contact with one another. We achieve our fireside time with a flickering television, our stories of hero's require no imagination now, they are spoonfed to us. The need for an imaginative realm, or even an active dream life is snatched away in favor of an "easier" thoughtless way. Race issues are still huge, now they are just well isolated in ghetto's, and drugs and gang life keep most people raised in those worlds stuck there. Those who do get out tend to be massive achiever's, due to the force of will it takes to remove oneself from such an entrenched tribal pattern.

At least you're right about the babbling part.
