Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. FIRE GOOD!!!!

There is no way around this fact, when you break down an organic with heat and without combustion 40% by weight is turned into carbon monoxide- the process is called gasification, and it is the reason why organics are combustible- and why a vaporizer gives you a different feeling.

There is ample studies that prove that smoking marijuana everyday from a joint for long term does not raises your chance of cancer in the entire digestive tract, lungs or brain. The tar does hamper your lungs but does not really damage them and what is damaged is surrounded by THC which elicits a powerfull tumor suppressor via the P-53 gene. The carcinogens from burnt organics are doing damage but the medicine is being delivered to the site of destruction as well.

Carbon monoxide is toxic to the heart and nervous system, slows down healing and the effects of it stay in you a while by corrupting your blood- can cause retinel hemorraging and host of other things. The bong with plenty of fresh water is still the healthiest way to smoke your buds. And remember it is not so much about how long the smoke is in water- but the volume and how clean it is... Plus also remember THC is not water soluble alcohol is, dont put booze in your bong, take your hit then drink a shot if you need booze too...

You have some rather polemic statements there, might be nice to know where you found these wonderous facts?

Especially the bit about carbon monoxide 'corrupting your blood'. Carbon monoxide does out compete oxygen when it comes to bonding with haemoglobin, but it doesn't cause any change in the actual structure of blood cells or fluids.

Hmm well my body seems to be feeling much better since I've quit smoking pot as much as possible. I can breathe a lot easier, I feel much more alert, and don't get those weird headaches that I sometimes get if I smoke all day. I'm also way more productive on the days where I only vape.

While it is true that the gasification process produces carbon monoxide and hydrogen, you need to have a heat in excess of 700 degrees celcius and no combustion. Sorry, but I can not get my SSV to get that hot, so my vape does not put out any carbon monoxide.

As much as I like having a mj cigarette before bed every night, pretty much the rest of the timer I vape, it is just soooo much healthier.

I provide mmj thru 2 groups; a hospice organization and a cancer group. The cancer group frowns on smoking anything, so it's vape only. Most of the hospice patients are on oxygen, so lighting anything could be dangerous, thus they are pretty much vape only.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news EgadsNo. Smoke BAD!!!!

I got to the point where my lungs couldn't take smoke anymore. I was down to a few mini pipe hits per day-even that was taxing my lungs. I've been happily vaping away for years now, with much healthier lungs.

As for your "gasification" statement, there are quite a few toxic smoke byproducts, including benzene, hydrogen cyanide, toluene, and naphthalene, that produce sleepy, dizzy effects on the body. These compounds are mostly responsible for the difference in effect between smoking and vaporizing. In addition, studies indicate that quite a bit more THC is delivered via vapor, vs. smoke.

It would be retarded to light a match or lighter near pure oxygen.
There is a reason why oxygen bottles and oxygen concentrators have large, prominent warning/danger signs afixed to them.

BTW for some of my patients in hospice care I can get an OK for them to smoke if thier attending physican gives it an OK. BUT if they are on oxygen they can only smoke if the PA or RN agrees to control the meds and supervise the patient's use.
