    FIRST GROW, ANY ADVICE APPRECIATED!!(PICS)

I just wanted to start off my thread by thanking everyone who post info on here that has benefitted me. I think this site is awesome as well as the people in it.

Now on to the good stuff, I planted this seed that last week of august and have been trying to keep up with it with the information that I get from you guys. I just want to know what you guys think of the look of the plant and and advice that maybe some of you will have. Thanks again!

*the vertical light was just a test and has now been taken down.
*The above taken picture displays how I just FEM'd the plant.
*Can I trim some of the leaves off of the plant. For some reason some of the leaves are curling and leaning downward.

Leave the leaves lol. Even though you might not like the way they look, they're still benefiting the plant by them just being there and still photosynthesizing.

Now I'm far from an expert in this area but your leaves might be curling down due to overwatering or from not getting enough light. I've noticed that when they're in optimum lighting(outside in full sun or tops of plants nearest the light) the lights will straighten out fully and maybe even fold upwards a bit widthwise. Hope someone else can chime in also, it always helps to have as many opinions as possible.

What it looks like to me is:

    * Leaves are curled cause of over watering. The trick when it comes to watering is every 3-4 days or when you put your finger a knuckle deep and if it's dry to the touch water it. When do you water your plant?

    * Lighting. Now as far as your plants looking spiney some if it's due to the FIM but most of it's the lighting. Now here's the question I ask. What type of lighting are you using and what's the Watts, Lumens, and type of Floresent is that. Now to help out I would go get a few 26 Watt cfls from walmart for $5.65 to help, but when u look for them make sure they say soft light, you warm the warm light for flower.

Now once we know we can help point you in a better direction.

    Have fun be safe!

Also what I for got. What are your temps inside the closet and do you have any type of fan in there to help move air, strenghten the plant, and keep the temps cooler.

Alright guys now that Thanksgiving has passed i have enough time to update you guys.

The specs of the light are in the photo that I posted. I figured it would give you guys the most info possible. I also have the light that is vertical in the first post beside what was already above the plant.

Also in the photos is some browning that has developed in areas of the plant and i have no idea what they could be. I looked throughout the forum and read something about a soil fungus that could cause browning but I'm not sure how to determine this. The browning is spreading though?

there is a fan in the closet and since first post has been turned onto medium which caused the plant to support itself now. Before i had it supported by just a small pencil due to it leaning over. Now its fine on her own.

*Also the plants currents get watered when dirt is dry to the touch. I did over water the plants one time which caused the leaves to curly tremendously but since they seem to be fine. The nutrients i give is shultz 10-15-10.

As far as PH goes I am completely lost. I've purchased a test that involves dropping a tablet into a vile with the soil in it which was not to accurate i don't believe. If it is then that means my PH level of the soil was close to 5.0. I also purchased a ph gauge which i can never get to work i've tried useing it 100 times and everytime has been unsuccessful. Its the meter with the light and moisture gauge in one

Let me know what you guys think!!:stoned:
