About Iran, if you look at what is happening right now it is similar to what happened right before the they finally overthrew the Shaw, a cycle of protest and mourning followed by more protest. This eventually errupted into the revolution that ousted the Shaw.

True, by definition the US is not an empire. However, I feel that it is indeed a Multi-National Corporate Syndicate. One that utilizes espionage, economic warfare, and good old fashioned killing to enforce it's false morality. Freedom is a strange thing when it is delineated through control, and when it is only offered to those who fit into a criteria established by a corrupt sense of moral righteousness. :detective1:

What's wrong with economic warfare, espionage, and/or killing to protect ones self interest? What else would you suggest the nations around the world do? Thats life......has been since humans began living in large groups and always will be......sorry, but I prefer to be the best at all those to stay two steps ahead of those who seek to do us harm. Who gives a shit what Europe or anyone else has to say for that matter. What are you gonna do?

I dont pretend to represent some special morality? If America was as bad as alot of spoiled, untraveled, Americans like to blabber...... to make themselves look 'rebellious' or 'different' (chuckle chuckle), millions upon millions of people wouldnt risk their lives to hit our soil year in and year out..

If you "think" this is supposed to be a leftist, communist, progressive, socialist site, you're highly mistaken. This is the political forum of the site; We discuss political issues with intelligence and respect, and no name calling but since you feel that you are the exception, please allow me to enlighten you;

The current administration is made up mostly of self proclaimed marxists (including the annointed one, read either of his "books", he states that fact in both of them), progressives (see def for socialist/communist) are fitting the definition for facism far more than any other administration previousely. That even includes the Patriot act which was not used against any U.S. citizen who did not bear arms (or plan to detonate a bomb within) against the U.S. That is a fact.

Police state? Look at what is going on around you, that statement is more true with this administration than any other since Roosevelt (look up Japanese Internment Camp and German Internment Camp, who started these novel ideas?)

Your rights are being dismantled at this very moment and the spending that has taken place in the past year alone is greater than all other administrations ever combined. Your great grandchildren (if you breed) will never see this debt paid off but will certainly bear the burden in higher taxation.

If anything, the Conservative ideology is fundamental in the ideals of smaller and less imposing government, protecting YOUR BILL of Rights, and YOUR Constitution. Are Conservatives perfect? Nope, no political ideology is. They all have their faults. (I suggest you actually read the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, The Federalist Papers, The writings of Thomas Payne, Bejamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Adam Smith's the Wealth of Nations (incomplete title). Put down the 1963 Communist manifesto as outlined and rewritten by the current Democrat party, it doesn't work. Evidence is in the economics and the headlines.

If you are an avowed Democrat/Socialist/Liberal/Marxist/Progressive (all the same in todays environment) then YOU above all people should be more tolerant, more accepting, and more forgiving to everyone than anyone else.

BTW, I served my country, am very proud of it, and will gladly fight for it again any day of the week even though I disagree with some of our laws and policies. I fly OUR flag every holiday, pray to God every day, and I smoke and grow marijuana. I was able to earn not just a college degree but two PhD's (Economics and Political Science) because I live in a great country where opportunity is everywhere if you only open your eyes, put forth some effort, and stop whining about how bad you got it from the man.

And I'm a Libertarian, not a Republican or a Democrat. I think for myself.

For those of you who are anti-U.S., there are flights leaving everyday, great deals to China I understand; they need more mindless worker bees in lock step with the central authority.
