    Aeroponic

sup hommies. ive heard a lot bout soil, soiless and hydro, but it seems we dont hear a lot bout aeroponic. it would be cool to see a soil vs hydro vs aero. i saw a soil vs hydro at overgrow.com. but there dont seem to have many ppl using this growin technique. is it too complicated or what? cauz the yield must be a lot bigger than normal grow method. anyone on this site is using it?

check this out. we can easily notice that roots are really really long and healthy. i doubt roots could grow that big and long in soil, cauz i guess the container would stop the root growing eventually

    that looks like spaghetti
Aeroponic systems are used less because you can't easily build one at home. So you must buy them and they are quite expensive. Just my 2 cents

You can build them, there not that hard. It's just a sprinkler system inside a bucket. Most people use the aeroponic spinners they are like drip sprinklers. You do need more sprayers then the store bought ones but it is something you can build with out too much trouble. They work fast in a SOG grow where you grow lots of plants in a short cycle.

I have an aerocloner I built that holds 74 clones and works like a dream.

In a small grow area is you have room for the tub then it's quick and easy to grow.

For the record aeroponics is just another type of Hydroponics like ebb & flow NTF, DWC, ECT.

aeroponic systems are better than most hydro set ups imo. they produce bigger plants faster than my ebb and flo set up. complete systems are a little pricey, but you can buy just the sprayers [$1.75] and drill a proper sized hole in pvc plastic, tap it by cutting threads in the hole to screw in the sprayer, [you can get all this at hydro stores]. hook it up to any pump and there ya go. most handy people could easily build one of these. I run my pump 24/7 with no aerator in the tank and it easily grows almost twice as fast as my ebb and flo. I put 2 seedlings in an aeroponic set up about 3 weeks ago and they are over 30 inches tall with fan leafs 10 inches across. There is only 2 draw backs, one, is the tiny hole in the sprayers can clog up. I clean mine every week needed or not. the other is you have to raise the lights almost every day the plants grow so fast lol.

Aeroponics is a Hydro system Mello mood....It's just a different delivery method from 24/7 drip system (I use) and different then dwc, ebb & flo tables and all the others. ebb & flow are a pain in the ass (only because I hate rock wool, the crap it is) ebb & flow with grow rocks is not bad but rockwool sucks. I hate drifting Ph levels in my grow medium I like to work but not that hard.
