That setup looks incredible. Where can I fill out a job application? :rastasmoke:

From the pictures I would say you are dead on with the Mg deficiency. You say you haven't had to use it before, do you know what the ppm is in the AN mix you have been feeding it?

the 2 rooms are all different right now. room 1 is 1200ppm, room 2 is 1400 ppm, and 3 is 1500 ppm. What I find wierd is in the last 8 years I have never had any deficiencies in veg what so ever. About a month ago I go to pick up new nutes and I see an Advanced brochure, I pick it up and read it while waiting in line. It says that you can throw your ph/ppm pen away as you no longer need it with there new formula that balances PH and they have the ppm calculator on the back of the bottle. I think that is wierd and kind of unsetteling advice coming from a nute company your pen is your best friend. Why would they be promoting this. I am just wondering if they have changed there formula. I called AN they said the change hasn't taken effect yet. I even had a meeting with there rep. He took a sample of the nutes and has not got back to me yet.

I heard about that stuff, the Ph perfect I think it was called. Seems strange to me that a product can Ph itself. I'm skeptical like you about it, but please share what you find out about it with us.

What system were you running before the AN line?

    Having a deficiency issue

so I finally got a call back from advanced today. I gave them a sample of the nutes and batch numbers to them about 10 days ago. What they had to tell me was that the nutes in question were 18 months old and were no longer any good. They tried passing the buck on my friend that owns the store, except he has the invoice when they were delivered 1 week before I purchased them. So they blamed it on a return that may have been mixed in with the brand new stock. Even though the returns go to a totaly different location. What I think is they are bringing new nutes out with the PH balancing in 2 months, They are clearing there shelves of all the old product before the new line comes out.

So I switched to canna aqua today, damn is it way more expensive spent $770 for both bloom and grow 20L. Has any of you done the switch from advanced to canna. I looked at the NPK ratios they seem pretty close. But there recommened maximum ppm is way low compared to what I am used to with this strain. They say never go over 1050 ppm in veg. I just put them at the same I had with advanced 1. 1200ppm, 2. 1400ppm, 3. 1500 ppm. Any input would be nice. Also the say use tapwater. I am not about that I got 450-500 ppm tap, my RO filter gets it down to >20.

ugu,you mean tell me that your nute can get to old to use so,my year and half foxfarm nute is to old then or is that a gimmick.how can nutes get to be to old how does that work also, how do they know how old the nute were what type of test was done to say it was to old to use, just curious, its not like they make the stuff and then ship it out right after they made it i thought the nute will be somewhat old anyways do to shipping, storage ect.

What they did was took a sample along with the batch numbers and sent it to the manufacturing plant. They compared the sample I gave them with a sample of the same batch they had a sample of and that's what they told me. Aparently they have samples of every batch they have ever made according to the tech guy. I have another meeting with the sales rep today and will post up what they say. I noticed the other day when you shake the bottles there is rock salt in the bottom. I have some new unopened bottles that have the same problem so that cancel out contamination. I have always been told nutes have a 12 month self life. I wish these companies would put dates on there bottles it would save a lot of head ache.
