if they're 10"+ then yes, I would suggest doing both, topping takes more time to see results but it's worth it, and the LST Im sure you're going to like, it's like telling your plant what to do, actually more like giving her 'guidelines'. the way I do it is drill some holes in the top brim of my pot, and then tie a branch to the rim of the pot. just kinda stretching it out so more of the plant can get direct sunlight.

another note: a week after I flip the lights to 12/12, I top my each plant. the reason for waiting a week is the stretching has stopped. After which I try to cut/move my plants as little as possible cause I do not want to stunt bud growth, so after that last topping, I will still LST them, but nowhere near as much as I was when they are in veg.
