electric bills...
Just don't go over board. 2k no problem in that size house. Just don't vent out of the same duct as the dryer exhaust in a winter wonderland cause nobody does that much laundry.....:rasta:

electric bills...
I'll just give you an idea of what a normal consumers electric bill looks like. Before I started growing I tracked my electric bill a lot just for consumer purposes and I regularly used high load systems. I have a 1000 watt power supply in my personal computer and my wife has about 500 watts on hers. My 60" tv probably draws at least 250 watts. Couple in normal lights usage and a washer dryer and you can get a good idea of my usage. I am on the high end of the scale when comparing myself to other people I know. I usually leave my stuff on 24/7 which is why I tend to be on the high end. My bill was regularly 400 per month in the summer time. I also use electric in the winter to heat the home which puts me into the same category again. I recently changed my electric company so now I tend to be happy when I spend under 200 per month. This equates to about 1500k watts to 2500k watts during heavy usage each month and I pay about 10 to 11 cents for each watt. A 1000 watt light is about the same as a high end computer and probably about the same as 2 x play stations/xbox.
I would think that if you had a normal home then 2 x 1000 watt lights could go under the radar quite easily. If nothing else was in the home at all then you could add another 1 very easily. 3000 watts of continuous usage would give you a total usage of 2.2 million watts at the end of the month which would be equivalent to what a typical 3 bedroom home would use in my area. Some homes have 4 air conditioners though (Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas) so they would probably easily use 4 million or even more watts each month which would then allow u to run 6 x 1000 watts lights and still probably not even catch anyone's attention.
