    Throat burning from apple pipe?

Hello, this is my first post.

Im pretty to new to weed, at least buying it, not smoking it. Ive smoked probably about 10 times with one of my bandmates but he usually has the weed so ive never actually bought a bag for myself. Well a friend of mine had a dime bag that he wanted to get rid of because his gf is making him quit...etc.... Anyways, I made an apple pipe today at his house and we tried it with just tobacco because im saving the pot for another day, but the tobacco burned my throat pretty bad.

Ive smoked cigs before so ik what its like and this just didnt seem right. We couldnt find a lighter so we just used a piece of paper lit from the stove so maybe that had to do with the burning but im not sure.

    What could be the problem?

whatever the problem I don't see it as a real issue. Probably just paper smoke, etc..

In my expirences tobacco is always really harsh when smoked out of a pipe. Apple pipes work great for bud but I wouldn't smoke tobacco outta there, I've smoked cigs for 4 years and smoking tobacco out of a pipe is always really harsh.

it burned because you were trying to smoke/inhale tobacco out of a pipe, cigarette tobacco I'm assuming too, it just wasn't meant to be done!

pipe tobacco burns so hot, its meant to stay in the mouth mostly, the puffing motion. and probably cause the paper, though most matches are cardboard, but probably bleached paper.

try a cold apple, and try making it different, ive done it and it was rather smooth. the holes cant be too large, use a pencil.

You were getting black sout off the burning paper. Surprized your lungs don't hurt too. Always light a pipe with a match and if no match a lighter.

Take the same paper and set it on fire just like last time. Hold it up and watch the black stuff come rolling out and think about that in your lungs.

Please come back and tell us what you find to help others not burn thier throats.
