Temp too hot- am I screwed?
Had a test at quest today. Provided a sample and it was apparently too hot. The girl seemed confused and checked yes on the "was this sample collected at 90-100 degrees" but then in the remarks put "sample over 100 degrees". They didn't reject it though, she collected it and had me sign and all. Will this come back as a failure or what? All I can find on the topic is the testing site immediately rejecting the sample but this was not the case. Help?

I think your ok,,,,as long as she checked it was between 90-100,,if they thought something they would of had you retest on the spot....Didnt the urine cup have a temp strip..U should of checked it before handing it in...In most cases if its to hot you could of sat it on the porcelin for a few seconds,,This takes the heat down real quick..

The lab wont fail it because temp no longer becomes a factor once it arrives at the lab. Temp is checked as a deterring tactic from bringing in a substituted sample.
The gal sure has some tall explaining to do with the MRO about the discrepency. I hope the MRO chews out a new bunghole in her.To view the Board Rules: http://boards.cannabis.com/introduce...ard-rules.html

Temp too hot- am I screwed?
Okay well I'm not gonna be one of the guys who comes here and begs for help then never reports the outcome.. So here goes
Everything came back fine! I don't know how or why... But I didn't get a phone call at all! My employer needed me
to get start asap so they were calling the lab pretty much twice a day badgering them for the results... And it did take a bit longer than usual so as you can guess I was a wreck 24/7. They called me yesterday and told me everything came back clean and I started my new job today.
Lessons learned:
1. when you go for an unsupervised test (basically any test but military or retest), and you're going to sub... Don't be nervous! You can close the door behind you and lock it you have no reason to sweat... I was a wreck and I made a totally avoidable mistake that could have cost me a dream job and a career. Chill, make sure the temp is good, and call it a day.
2. If you have any say in when to go take a test, go close to the end of business on a Friday. I went at 315 and they closed at 330, and I am 100% convinced this is what saved me. I was supposed to have been given a supervised retest on the spot, but the collection girl didn't feel like sitting there and giving me my required 3 hours to give another sample... And I don't blame her. Might not always help, but in my case, it did.
3. Dress professionally. This could have been another factor... I was in business casual and I joked and socialized with the collections girl... Definately didn't Hurt just make sure you don't come across over the top or forced nervous. Probably the smallest contributor but every little bit helps.
In the end, I went through 5 days of personal hell... Nervousness, worrying, depression... The whole 9. I work in a dot random test environment, and I never smoked while employed.. But after getting laid off last month I made up for all my lost toking time... In a terrible job market I never expected the phone to ring for another gig... But it did and in the end I put my career in jeopardy to get high. I got INCREDIBLY lucky so I'm done for sure... Not worth the consequences...
good luck to everyone and feel free to Ask any questions should you ever find Yourself in a similar situation like I was.
