Only thing I can think of is that the charges definitely aren't going to be dropped. My buddy ran from the DNR up in NJ and only got a ticket. He might have gotten boned if he didn't though, gave him the time to ditch his shit.

I just got a possession of marijuana ticket, as well as a possession of drug paraphernalia ticket on my way home from snowboarding. I was in a federal forest, and the ticket was issued by a forest service officer. There is nothing on the ticket that says I have to go to court. They're just tickets for $125 each.
