Ill have about 2-3 plants and using the method where the roots are completely submerged with a water pump and airstone in the water supply itself. ANy help would be appreciated.

I will preface this with a fact I have grown Hydroponically in the strangest places:wtf: with tremendous success but only after tremendous failure!
This was true in the early years when trying to get vegetative growth and developement of the enviroment.

Always ask questions about the minutia as the devil is in the details!

Let me get this correct you are germinating seeds and have some that have popped and you do not posses the 1" rock wool cubes to start them in? I also thought I read you were growing NFT (roots in the dark with no growing medium other than the 1" Rock wool that will later be pressed or fitted into an ebb and flow nutrient solution with a pump and airstone?

if this is correct you can use small stones but be sure they are sterile, also insulation (pink or yellow Owens corning or similar wall or bat insulation) one could ostensibly use perlite / vermiculite mix then after obtaining the Grodan rock wool and presoaking it to obtain proper Ph and proper nutrient solution vegetative growth in the cube transplant the vegetation being careful not to damage the roots.
Whatever "system" you decide on be sure to follow instructions as growing indoors is not like your mama's Swedish ivy or poinsettia, I have known many whom spent thousands and could not grow mold let alone beautiful orchids sunflowers or tomatoes. Ask lots of questions and remember there are no stupid questions only ignorant people who do not want others to succeed
