The height of the tent is only 6.5 feet. If the adjust-a-wing + super spreader + 600 HPS system has to be kept 2 feet or more away from the plants because of heat issues, I might reconsider using this system, and buy an air cooled reflector instead. With an air cooled reflector, I could place the light closer (more lumen) to the plants, but those adjust-a-wing have such good reviews that I would really love to install them in my tent.
heres the deal....if you are trying to cover 6.5' x 6.5' then you will have to be hanging your light pretty high....at 36"-42" above the ground a 600w only covers a 3 x 3 area...so you may want to look at additional lighting if you are doing that much space:jointsmile:
stra8outtaWeed Reviewed by stra8outtaWeed on . Adjust-a-wing reflector + 600 HPS in a grow tent ? I have 2 questions: 1) I am very interested in buying a Medium Adjust-A-Wings and Super-Spreader for a 600W HPS light system. I want to install one such system in a grow tent (enclosed space) that measures approx. 6.5ft x 6.5ft x 6.5ft or 1.95M x 1.95M X 1.95M. I do understand that one 600 HPS light is sufficient. My question is in regard to heat generated with a 600 light bulb used in conjunction with the medium Adjust-A-Wings and Super-Spreader in a grow tent (enclosed space). Normally, in Rating: 5
