FYI - Malware Warning
Hi all !!!!
Just for your information.
This morning I did a fresh install of XP on an old laptop I have.
I installed active malware detection " A-Squared Anti-Malware".
I came to the forum, as a guest "No Cookies on new install".
I received this warning.
Warning
The site WWW,LDUHTRP,Net is attempting to connect to your computer.
This site is known for distributing malicious software on the internet.
I misspelled web address so no link appears, link is at bottom of wanted.
I then received a popup on my information bar wanting me to run ActiveX
Adobe Flash Player. "No Big Deal"
I googled it and is seems to be an advertising co. Probably providing
you advertisements, but I don't know.
I just thought I would let you know there is the potential for new members
to be scared off, if they happen to get a malware warning.
Dread

FYI - Malware Warning
Your malware protection is producing a false positive and you will most likely receive that warning on many websites that use advertisements. This is due to your malware protection, not the website.

Thanks bombdiggity!!!
I do understand that the anti-malware software is producing the alert!
I am saying, if I get an alert, so can others. I just want the site Admin. to know this is the case.
I know this site is safe I have used it for a couple of years now with NP.
Potential new members may not know its a false alarm and fear this forum.
Thanks Again !! :hippy:
