Ok so I'm in California and recently got my doctor's reccomendation! I've decided to start up a grow to cut back on what I buy, hopefully altogether.

I'm going to be growing in my closet. The floorspace (about 22" x 27") is carpeted; is it ok to grow on carpets? Or should I put a piece of plywood or something over it? Alternately there is a shelf about 40" above the ground that is a bit smaller then the floor that I could extend slightly to bring it to the size of the floor space. There's about 40" more above the shelf, which can't be raised or lowered. Ultimately I'd like to use on space for vegging and one for fruiting, hopefully about 3-4 plants per. Does this sound feasable?

Because the way my closet is, I'm going to need to rig a ghetto door to block off my grow. Im thinking just cardboard or something. I'll cut holes in it for airflow and put a fan in the top corner of each chamber. Sounds good?

For lights I bought 4 40 watt, soft white CFLs and reflecting shades from Home Depot for all them. I also plan on lining the walls with mylar. Should two of these lights for each chamber be enough? I was reading that I should use something like 6400k lights for veg and 2700k fruiting. Is this necessary? I bought the lights before I saw that and they are all 2700k.

That's pretty much all the questions I got as far setting up my grow room goes. Thanks for reading! All input and advice welcomed and appreciated!
