basic lighting question-400 vs 600
12 plants, three gallon buckets, 3 rows of four buckets in sectioned off area of a spare bedroom, not quite a grow box, more like a room in a room, using florescent as supplemental lighting.....can i do it with one 400w mh/hps or should i go with a 600w?:woohoo:

well 400 might work but the more lumens the better. when in dought go with th ebigger one. You migvht need ot for your next grow. Either way they both get hott so al depends on you pocket book and if you wanna spend the exra cash on the 600. 400 will work but personally I would go with the 600 watter.

U need to figure that once that plants get tall the light goes up and light will be harder to reach the outer plants and lower sides, also a 600 will penetrate the canopy better. If u were doing just 2 rows a 400 would work. The 400watters are great, but there really not all that powerful once the plants get big, there great i mean awsome if u do a lsting, scrog, or 4 plant grow.
