do you need a compassionate mmj doctor for your chronic pain?

2. You must be in chronic pain (lasting more than 3 mos.)
3. You must have medical evidence. (mri's, ct's, x-rays, surgeries, etc.)
4. You must be willing to pursue continuing treatment, mmj can't be the only thing you seek. You must be willing to try the meds, injections, physical therapy.....
5. You must be professional. Sorry, but face tattoos and mohawks, or rapper jeans below the ass and a big gold chain will be turned down for the card. At least look professional at the doc's.

My doctor is a pain management specialist in rhode island. He is extremely laid back, very attentive, and genuinely good at his job. I have sent five ppl to see him, and three have been approved for the card on the spot(bring the paper with you please!). one didn't qualify as chronic pain, the other has to go through more thorough treatment before obtaining that ever elusive signature. That said, it is a small office, and there are often waits of over two hours after your appointment. Please use this forum's email system to mail me with your specifics. only then will i give up the name. you don't have to give me any personal info, just the nature of your pain and the course of treatment you have taken already. thanks, i hope i can help many!

Hello, I am looking to find alternative treatment to chronic back pain due to herniated disk, bulging disk, and pinched nerve. luckily /sadly it is not severe enough for surgery yet so the only thing I can do is take pain meds (twice daily ibuprofen 800mg and percocet) and live with the pain. Anyone who has chronic pain will understand that pills will only do so much and the side effects can sometimes be overwhelming. I have lived in providence for 3 years temporarily but rely on doctors in NJ, so since I am now more in RI i think its time to find a doctor around here. I was wondering if something like my circumstance is something covered and if there are any doctors in the providence area that someone could recommend. I have a MRI to back up my story.

i have RA, Hep C(but not taking any treatment right now) and i have Degenerative Disc Disease in my back. right now on 100 (750mg) Hydrocodone every 25 days, and not working. I am in consent pain.
