if you wanted to be really cool, you would buy a regular necklace that looks really cool. then just get an alligator clip, you can find them on anything, especially at electronics stores, then you can actually assemble a necklace to your design. i know i got one on my key ring that i made using some wire and the clip. it has come in handy more than i thought it would used it the first day i made it, and the day after and after, great for when something is rolled. i like the keys though cause the smell can get on the clip, and roach smell isnt always that awesome around the nose.

Even in highschool i woulda thought this gift was odd. Go with a bubbler or somethin similar. Not being mean, sorry if it seemed that way, but who wears a roach clip necklace. MEN don't wear necklaces.....sorry.

thanks for the idea about the alligator clip although weve used them before and arent quite fans. in terms of regular use roach clip we use an artists compass for drawing circles.

were almost solely blunt smokers so he would have no interest in a bubbler. the reason i wanted to get a necklace was because he saw the ones on the website i posted and immediately wanted one so im not worried about him being weirded out about getting a necklace. in terms of being cheap, im an art school student and paying for living in new york city which makes it impossible for either of us to buy an expensive present.

im thinking about finding a mini artists compass and putting it on a chain if i cant find a store carrying them

anyways for that I would I guess check out pearl? dunno, as far as the necklaces umm, maybe one of the lil shops are downtown? i know one of the smoke/gift shops on St marks has jewelery at it but never seen something like that.
