Need advice NY Marijuana laws :(

I am looking for information on Marijuana laws in NY specifically. Recently the village police department executed a search warrant on my home. The warrant was executed at 4:05 PM, When the Police came to my door informing me that they had a search warrant for the premises, I immediately asked for #1 a copy of the search warrant and #2 asked them what they were "looking for". The police never did provide a copy of the warrant until 10:30 that evening, Several hours after they had completed the search.. And seizure of certain items from my home. I am curious, Aren't the police required to furnish a copy of the warrant when asked? I mean how do I know the even had a warrant... Before they found what they found? For clarification.. All that was found was slightly over two ounces of marijuana, Which consisted of mostly trash Sticks/Seeds/Stalks/roaches. They even swept my bedroom floor adding all the dog hair and stones from my shoes to go over the two ounces. Also when they executed the warrant, They took everyone from the house and straight to the Police station, Leaving them free to poke and plunder.. Unsupervised.. By anyone. I am curious exactly how much of this was even legal. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

I am not a lawyer but have been busted before i understand that they must show you the warrant before they enter if you ask.....the warrant show say what they are looking for and were they can look....contact local lawyer Good Luck NEVER LET THE IN FOR ANY REASON AND DO NOT TALK WITH OUT LAWYER

they obviously were trying to go over the 2 ounce limit to get it from a misdemeanor to a "class a misdemeanor".

thats pretty simple to beat, subpoena the evidence at court, show them the dog hair, have the court remove the dog hair and weigh it, automatically bumped down.

you really don't have much to worry about, IF YOU HAVEN'T LEFT OUT ANYTHING...:wtf: I'm talking scales, baggies, harder drugs, drug dealing going on at your place, ect. pot possession is a slap on the wrist in new york.

what did they formally charge you with?

im more interested in why the cops were there in the first place, how they got tipped off, BE FUCKING HONEST DAMMIT, NOTHING PISSES ME OFF MORE THAN PEOPLE GOING ON GANGA BOARDS ASKING FOR LEGAL ADVISE AND NOT GIVING ALL THE DETAILS BECAUSE THEY HAD MORE GOING ON THAN JUST SMOKING A LITTLE WEED, I KNOW HOW THE VILLAGE IS. /rant

you say in one sentence that they took itemS, plural, but then later say all they found was 2 ounces of dog hair and bud. which is it?

it depends on the warrant, it will say on it if you can watch or if they have to furnish you with a copy upon entry, guess what? 99% of drug warrants dont let you watch and don't have to furnish.

i wouldnt even worry about it unless they plan on throwing the book at you because you were a known seller. best case scenario is they charge you with the 100 dollar weed ticket, worst case is they give you proby.
