New to growing-Have questions!!
OK, so I've decided to stick with dirt to start my growing adventure. I've been told to get a 600 watt HPS light for the vegetative stage and a 400 watt for the flowering stage. Is this right? What are your opinions? Trying to keep it simple to grow a few plants and learn.

Rather than just telling you off, here's some direction to where you want to post.
But no, you would idealy want an even matched pair of HPS and MH(metal halide). MH for veg, HPS for flower.

Sorry I asked my question in the wrong section. Not intentional, didn't realize I would actually piss a few of you off, especially from this forum. Anyway, my LEGAL growing venture thanks you for your input. Much appreciated.

Hi ...Greysquirrel...Welcome to CannaCom...
One 400 watt HID light is plently ...for a small personal grow. Don't sweat the small stuff; come on down to the grow forums and ask about anything....:smokin:...lights are my hobby.

if its a small closet gorw use CFLs u need a few more but its cheap and the heat is low. and there is no DIRT out there, it's how you harvest and take care of it during the grow. If you do everything right and cure it properly then you can make the "dirt" some really killer bud:thumbsup:
