    America is not free.

America does have a lot of laws... but when you boil it all down, I don't have a problem with very many of them. My biggest issue is gun control, but thankfully for me I live in PA which has pretty respectable gun laws. I can carrry a concealed weapon on me here in good ol PA. Laws are put in place for the good of the country and it's citizens. I don't have a problem with really any of the laws here. Someone is probably goign to ask: "how can you say that posting on a website about reefer?" well the answer is, I've been apart of this forum for a long time now, and just because I stopped smoking dope doesn't mean I stopped posting here. So the fact that I don't smoke or even really think about weed at all anymore, the fact that it's illegal doesn't bother me in the least. Sucks for you guys and all my friends/relatives that smoke!

but yeah, America is the greatest country in the world. It's good to see that folks like peble are taking an interest in making sure it stays a great country, just don't say it's not free. A lot of people gave their lives to make sure this country stays the best in the world. I mean come on, it's almost veterans day...don't be saying this country isn't free. That is pretty disrespectful.

Whenever anyone (ALWAYS an American) says the U.S. is the greatest country in the world, I can't help but roll my eyes and think Uncle Sam has taught him well. Mainly because they can never give me a real reason why.

I've travelled a lot in the last couple of years, and the best country I've come across is France. I've been in about twenty U.S. states, and the people in every single one of them were much, much ruder than they are in France, and much more ignorant with culture and politics and so on. The French government also actually fears the people, who riot when a law or something really pisses them off. The Pentagon on the other side is so mighty it's not really a concern if 10,000 protesters show up--they know they'll have their way forever. There's so much more sexual openness in France, no ultra-rigid drinking laws that only raise teen drinking binges, etc. Europe is a cultural gem in general.

So someone enlighten me please....explain the U.S. as the world's #1 country?

France lol.....I had to laugh at this one. Aint no uncultured or untraveled Yank here my friend. Ill never forget going to a football match in the burbs of Paris in 2005.....EVERYTIME a black guy touched the ball the ENTIRE stadium erupted into Monkey sounds......the ENITRE stadium. I have never seen anything like it. Or lets head over to Warsaw Poland where their Govt. refused to let some Jewish football players come their country because some Muslims were offended....Is this the cultural gem your referring to lol? Leave it to .....the video of the cultured parisans mocking minorities is all over youtube if people wanna watch it for themselves.

Riots huh.....the last riots I remember were all the muslims burning trashcans and working peoples cars in Paris because they got their sensitive feelings hurt, awwwwww, so sad.

Belgium is more cultured and accepting than France these days.....Compared to London or Prague....Paris is the armpit of Europe homie.imp: The glory days are gone.....Hell I had a better time in Belgrade than Paris

US is the RICHEST and GREEDIEST country ill say that. greed is the answer to all that you all are speaking on. because yes this country WAS founded with great intentions to be the BEST country in the world. just like a company might begin, with talks of treating the employees with equality and respect, and all with great benefits and rights galore...until that is of course the power and money and respect started to build and those with all those possesions couldnt control the human nature most of us hide. they started to ignore the "good" instilled in most at the time by religion...the fear of god and all. the ones whose pockets and mansions grew ignored their ever growing smaller conscience yelling in their ears. eventually over time...the snowball's grown. and those with power, are still in control. is this a "free" country...well yeah in the ideas of its structure...but nowadays can we really say the "structure" of this country is good. we vote...but is it really us that is heard? when you go to the store and something is free...you dont gotta pay the person behind the counter any $ right?...well then why do i gotta pay so goddamn much to live in this country if its a free country? yeah it's one of my personal motto's to say it could always be worse...cause it could. but dont let that really blind you from whats going on, distract and let you enjoy yer day? sure...but dont be fooled...nothing in this life is free, especially not the american people...we are all controlled, and if you dont see that? well than congrats modern-day uncle sam...yer winning!

Our Military is better equipped and stronger than either Canada or France. Our Military actually fights, unlike France where they would now be speaking German and killing Jews...Canada does fight.

We have a bigger, richer, middle class than either nation and that speaks volumes. Even in a downturn and war.

More LEGAL immigrants CHOOSE America over Canada or France, and that continues right now.

Our women are WAY hotter and have nicer teeth than any native born French woman (not counting foreigner models in France)

Our food is better than French food. Shit, British food is better than French food

    We have a bigger, ri

^ just kidding of course, I love Canada but get tired of hearing some of them bash the US, its almost like an obsession with some of them. In contrast, most people in the US probably couldn't even tell you where Canada was on a map.
