You have to name things to keep track of who's who. Eventually you want to name a strain project. I was getting close to that myself when my seed crop got kyped. I'd say that you could name a strain anytime you'd like. How stable it is is another matter. Names won't change that.

I'm on my 3rd/4th generation bagseed, currently flowering 3rd (all from a single seed), with a 4th gen rooting as I type.. One clone (3rd gen) deliberately ferted with her moms pollen (2nd gen) about to produce I'm guessing about a hundred seeds. My question is... at what point am I able to name my ladies??
