Getting my dog high tonight

It's abusing your dog? Hmmm! I disagree. Especially if the doggie likes it. Weed is so natural, it's sort of like, why WOULDN'T you get your dog high? What are your reasons? I haven't looked into it because I don't really have any urge to get my dogs high, but if there are actual reasons, you should state them. Alot more people will not get their dog's high if you say "wede cawses bloody stools in dawgzez! dontz do it!" rather then just "it's abusing your dog."

I think as long as you allow your dog to walk away if he doesn't like it, I don't think it's abuse at all. Is offering your friend his first hit abusing your friendship? Personally, I only get my cat high, and my cat simply loves marijuana. ((though don't feed it to your cat, because it's supposedly toxic for them to eat)) My cat always fondles my weed bag when I leave it on the table though.

I have seen both cats and dogs like weed and even beg for it. My bud's dog is so hilarious; if we are smokin and you kinda hold the blunt low, he will come up and lick it, yelping cause he licked the hot part. Yet he never learns. So we have to watch that fiend. His other dog which THIS dog killed hated weed, and hid inder a chair every time we smoked. Maybe thats why the weed-dog killed it.

I'm not going to say that MJ is bad for dogs because I don't know the facts. However dogs (and some other animals) do not sweat, they pant to cool themselves. Sweat is one way (among others) that humans get rid of toxins. Some veterinary drugs are the same as human drugs and some are not. Aspirin for example does not do the same thing in humans and some animals. It is possible that some animals do not process and excrete`recreational drugs the same way we do.

Where did it say the dog will die? Looked like a very small chance of death if the dog eats your stash. I had a puppy eat a bud once, about 2-3 joints worth of killer, with no noticeable damage. There is another thread somewhere about dogs eating stash and no one's died yet. I think a pet might be high for longer than a person due to them not flushing their systems the same way. And who knows what it feels like to be a stoned dog? But I don't think they are likely to die from it (and the vets apparently don't either). However Its good you put a link to an actual vet site on here about this.
