Sprout Transplanting
I have some new seeds that have sprouted. I am wondering what is the best way to transfer them to my fog system and when that would be. The only way I know how to germinate seeds is to stick them on a wet paper towel and place them under a bowl of some sort. A few days later and they pop open. At this point the new seeds are about 1 inch long sprouts. At what point should I transfer them into my existing fog system and additional plants?
I worry that they wont be able to take nutrients right away and a full light cycle. My wife thinks I should stick the sprout in a glass of water and put on the windowsill. After about a week in the cup, she thinks there will be enough roots that I can then put into netcups.
Up till now, I have only grown plants in my fog system that were already tiny plants and even then I had a hard time getting them to take to the system. I want this next generation of plants to have an easier time transplanting.Prodaytrader Reviewed by Prodaytrader on . Sprout Transplanting I have some new seeds that have sprouted. they should be put into grow medium befor they get that long as they are fragile.
they will not tolerate nuits until they have the first set of true leaves not the round cotiltedons(sp) which is their first food sorce
they need gentle light for a week or so
SWIM uses rapid rooter plugs

Rapid rooters or jiffy or small rockwool cubes. Gives them a base and when roots come out of that they are ready to go. Keep them moist but not soaking wet.
