Thanks again to all who have weighed in. I am using the jars and things seem to be tasting much better than in the past. I had 28 quarts of blue dream and 34 quarts of sour diesel. So I now have a lot of jars. I was able to find a dozen half gallon jars which make the operation much easier. Thanks for the info on the Winco jars. I don't know of one near by but I will do a search after I log off the forum. I will also check a couple of second hand stores in the area as this seems like a good idea too.

There are just two licensed smokers at my address so I just grew 12 plants. However the results this year have been much greater than in the past. Looking at two plants that weighed over two pounds and several more that weighed over a pound it was hard to imagine the jars required. I have about 8 dozen quart jars and need a lot more.

Thanks again for the good information. I have the best tasting weed I have ever grown this year.
rudy2010 Reviewed by rudy2010 on . Preserving flavor when drying buds Who has some good information on preserving the flavor of the buds when drying. All the buds smell awesome when they reach maturity but many lose most of their flavor when dried. I have tried leaving the buds on the plant without trimming, trimming before drying and partial trimming. The results don't seem to show the affects of the different drying methods. The afghan goo and white widow taste great but the dj short blueberry seems to have lost a majority of its flavor. The bliss smelled Rating: 5
