FLOWERING PLANT WITH BOTTOM YELLOW LEAVES AND BROWN RUST SPOTS??? WTF

Hello to everyone, I am a newbie and this happens to be my very first grow. My first grow has been quite successful believe it or not until I hit my 5th week into flowering.

The Problem I am having is my bottom leaves (including my fan leaves)have started turning yellow and their are some weird rust colored spots starting. They aren't very defined circled colored spots though. I have pictures feel free to take a peek. It seems to take over the leave until it sucks it dry. However this is only on the bottom. But, I am afraid it will eventually work it's way up to the top.

I am growing with 4 150 watt CFLs, my grow box is 3 ft tall and I have 2 fans one for air flowing in, and one for air flowing out. I am using Fox Farms Ocean Forest Soil, I haven't used any nutrients on my plant until the flowering stage. I started using Big Bloom about 3 weeks ago, and like a moron I was pouring about a capful into a gallon of water and giving it to my plant every watering. I water my plant every 3 days using Acadia Spring Water, that I purchase from stop and shop. I haven't been keeping tabs on my Ph levels throughout my whole grow, I am sort of confused by this whole process. My temps are with the lights on 77 degrees, and with them off they usually get down to about 66 degrees. My humidity is normally at about 55-60% My plant is 2 1/2 feet tall, and is in 3.5 gallon container. I just purchased The rest of the Fox Farm line of nutrients, (The grow big, and The Tiger Bloom).

I just fed my plant the day before yesterday following the feeding chart. I used the full strength dose that is said to use. I know I probably sound like a typical newb who doesn't have any damn clue about what she's doing. But if anyone has any suggestions, tips, or helpful advice please comment.

    OK.
No worry, some yellowing of the lower leaves is normal.
The spots may be from the "spring" water.
It usually has too much sodium for plants.
I suggest you switch to tap water and see what happens.

I would go one further and get distilled water, or a RO machine, since you are already buying water. Nothing better than knowing EXACTLY what is in your water because YOU put it there. My tap water was not able to grow plants hydroponically (makes me kinda question drinking it :wtf. Also knowing your pH is vital, and you cannot successfully diagnose a problem if you don't know the pH. Also its better to show the entire plant in your photos, rather than just individual leaves.

Hi mkgmeash1223, welcome to the forum!!

First thing first, Get a PH test kit !!!!

Feed your plants every other watering!! Tooo much of a good thing aint real good.

Your last photo looks like the leaf is burnt, did you splash some nutes on it?

A little yellowing is normal during flowering but the burnt crispy edges ain't good. I would just use water for a couple of feedings to let them use up any extra nutes in the soil.

As mentioned photos of the whole plant are a plus gives us a feel of total plant health.

    GOOD LUCK!!! :hippy:

do NOT use distilled water, or reverse-osmosis water, unless you add Cal-Mag+ to them, usually about 10ml per gallon ... its fine for drinking, but contains nothing the plant needs, except moisture ... :smokin:

I knew I joined these forums for a good reason. Thank you everyone you guys are awesome. Okay just a few newbie questions.

I did purchase a ph test kit and I tested my Acadia water that I have been using since seedling stage and I came up with a ph of 6.5, now that was by itself without any nutes added to it.

Now the next time I feed my plant with nutes should I test the ph from the run off I get from my plants? And does anyone know the difference between distilled water and Spring Water?

I posted more pictures for you guys sorry about the first ones. Can anyone tell me what strain this is? This was from bag seed. Also any idea on how long the flower period is, I am on week 5 of flowering. You guys rock!

Its impossible to tell strain just by looking. Distilled (RO) water is purified by reverse osmosis (RO), spring water is from a spring. As someone already said, spring water generally has a lot of sodium, and if you go with RO water, you will need CalMag+ or its slightly cheaper GroTek counterpart, CalMax+.
