Is growing indoor hydroponics easy?
Whenever I grow using soil I install an automated pulse watering system which I then set to give a measured dose of water at regular intervals, a good drainage system then allows excess water to return to a waste resevoir.

The only things I check daily are to see if any "fell over" or for equipment failure (fogger burnout).
As for PH, I check it on occasion but that really is to check to see if the RO system membrane is still good. I check the TDS on the new water for extra measure, it is usually<30 ppm.
I purge the system weekly, so I mix up the soup, mix it in with the new water and then I wait till it comes down to the operating temperature (64 deg which takes a few hours) then I do a TDS test and adjust the soup if I have to.
I have kept very good notes so I know what my mixtures should be.

Sometime during my lifetime I want to try OUTDOOR HYDRO!!!!.....lol
I think it can be done, not the easiest and secretive, but if your allowed to grow, why not...... Just do a 5gal bucket with a battery operated air pump. Take a car battery out there and a converter, all you need is to power the air pump so it will last for awhile. Maybe not practical, but definitely cool sounding, I bet it'd be some nice nugs......

I've seen people take 5 gallon jugs of water and poke a small pen size hole for water to constantly drip out of. Then set the jug at the base of the plant. I know it's not the most effective way of "stealthing" your cannabis, but some places no need worry about the PoPo

talking about hiding trails check this out
EL DORADO HILLS (CBS13) ―
El Dorado County Sheriff's deputies say they found a large indoor marijuana growing operation by following a trail of pot leaves and potting soil.
Deputies say they received a call Saturday about home on the 300 block of Arches Avenue in El Dorado Hills with its front door open and no one home. The callers also said there was a line of pot leaves and potting soil that led from the driveway into the home.
When deputies arrived, they followed the marijuana trail to the front door and found that it had been kicked in. Once inside, deputies found a large, illegal indoor growing operation with lights and a ventilation system.
Deputies seized 260 marijuana plants worth an estimated street value of $250,000. They believe the people growing the pot illegally bypassed the home's power meter and avoided a monthly utility bill estimated to be around $6,000.
The incident remains under investigation.
