Pot and the Bible
I used to feel guilty about hitting the bong every now and then until I started reading the bible. But, I read 2 Corinthians and all my shame and guilt fell by the wayside. Now I wear this shirt that I designed that truly expresses my faith and my favorite pastime in my lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Seems like a bit of an advert but I have to say I love the shirt and an excellent choice of a quote. Christianity and Cannabis always went hand in hand until recent times. The "Holy anointing oil" was made partly with Cannabis which explains its many miraculous healing abilities when applied to the skin. Interestingly enough, Christian means "Someone covered in holy anointing oil", so it indirectly refers to someone as being covered in Cannabis. Bring that up next time a Christian tells you that Cannabis is a sin

Interesting and I like the shirt. As a believer I don't believe that any drug is explicitly forbidden from us however only when we use something in excess is it a sin.

Pot and the Bible
Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds." And it was so.12. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.(Genesis 1.11/12)

Can somebody give me some good verses that are for Marijuana in the BIble? I am told that just because the word herb is in the BIble doesnt mean it has to do with smoking it. This is sound logic. How can I prove it from the BIble though?

Pot and the Bible
I realize most people on here have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to religion, much less the Bible, but...
When Paul was talking about being stoned he meant stoned as in ancient Jewish punishment stoned. Like, when people would just throw rocks at you till you died or stopped moving.
By the way, I'm Christian and I toke up because of what other people on here have said... namely, that God created everything on the Earth and said it was "good." I don't touch pills, powders, or excessively drink alcohol, but the blessed herb was made by God Himself.

I don't know what this has to do with the Bible other than that it likely pre-dates it.
