Thank you much brother,
Now, I'm noticing that the longer I let them grow the more I'm finding that the tops of buds are drying and fall off to the touch. I know the prob are caterpillars as I pulled a top off this morning and there layed a little critter (which I pulled off by hand).
I've been finding them and pulling them by hand but do you reccomend anything else as I have to let them grow another couple weeks at least???
I would hate to keep losing buds to these invasive creatures.
Thanks again for your help.
Peace in Love

had a caterpillar problem this season- yes the area will die and dry up- if you can get some BT bacillus something ,it will kill pest- i found that the caterpillars get so deep into bud that hand picking is the best way- look for their droppings this will lead you to the culprit before there is a lot of damage- after my caterpillar invasion it started raining for days and bud rot set into the areas that had been damaged by their chewing-if you are expecting any rain I would pre-treat with serinade to stop rot before it begins- best of luck
