    Veg Question

I picked up some big bud clones from the dispensary yesterday and immediately put them under my 600 hps and after thirty minutes they were laying flat so i backed off my light because it was way too close. They look a lot better today but I had to prune a couple leaves off that died from the heat. My question is since im growing in an attic and I dont have much height can I veg my plants and prune them out a couple times before switching to flower to bush them out and get them thick.? I;m afraid if I switch to flower now I will lose a lot of herb as they only have a few leaves and are still pretty stressed. By the way they are in a bucket and I'm feeding them half strength liquid karma.

    Veg Question

by prune them out i am assuming you mean something like topping them. how tall are they now? do they have roots? how close was the light? i have no idea what clones condtions are when you get them from a dispensary but am curious to know.

You should definitely wait until the clones are thriving before you start snipping the tops off of them, but yes... you can top your plants several times to make them fill out instead of growing vertically so much. You can also train them (type "LST" in the search bar for more on that). I wouldn't start training or do any cutting until there's noticeable new growth, though, so that you know the root system is firmly established and thriving.

    Veg Question

Thanks man. Sorry I was really stoned when I wrote that

Ya I just wanted to know if i could veg it until it has a thicker stem and cut it back to 6-8 in. tall and flip it as soon as it recovers. I have to veg short since height is such an issue.

I will be posting pics soon.

    Veg Question

Yes, just topping em off. They are only about two inches tall and they both have a few long roots hanging down. The light was about 6 inches from the tops before i moved them. My lens stays super cool so I figured it wouldn't hurt them. They were pathetic when I got them. They are probably pretty stressed but they"ve show major signs of improvment and I'll think they will be fine. I'm gonna let them bush out and develop some good roots for now.
