Smoked half a gram of 15x Salvia with no result?

Even though I smoked the stuff last weekend, I've been so disappointed by the result that I'm just getting around to posting about it. So here's the details:

I received a gram of 15X extract from Salvia World, and I split it up with my friend. I started with 100 mg, and I did what I thought was the proper procedure/technique: put it in the bong, lit the bowl with a butane lighter, hold it in for 20-30 seconds, blow out and don't inhale air but immediately go back to bong, repeat 2-3 times, lay back, and enjoy. My friend also did the same... Needless to say, after a little while I realized I wasn't being transported any where, so I asked my sitter to rush me another 100 mg. I had heard of not having a breakthrough the first time, but I figured the more you smoke, certainly you would eventually breakthrough. Well, this repeated until I smoked 500 mg, and all it gave me was a heavy feeling. The same for my friend... I was too pissed off to even enjoy that feeling, so I rolled up a couple of blunts to numb my pain.

Can anyone explain what went wrong? I feel like $20 was wasted, and I'm wondering if certain people are resistant to salvia, or their mind is too strong to believe in certain hallucinations (I've always felt I would be that way). I'll try it again some day, but I'm starting to believe even 40X can't do it for me. I'll probably try to smoke like 3 grams by myself or something.

i dont know how much 100mg is, but my dose for a good salvia 15x trip is a big pinch of it, all inhaled at once.

You got ripped off, one good hit of 15X should do it, never actually weighed it. Find a different supplier.

i used a regular lighter, but i filled about a quater bowl full and held the lighter over the bowl while I was inhaling through my water bong for about 10 seconds straight--10 seconds of inhaling and lighting the bowl. that fucked me up.

You can buy it in a head shop somebodysomeone. I personally believe the reason you didn't fully achieve the affects is because you used one butane lighter. Try again using two lighters, better yet a torch.

1 regular bic butane lighter works fine.
