without seeing the pictures, I can spot a few things. First, your lights, you want 6500k bulbs for veg, and MORE! 2 bulbs will only get you so far. Secondly, the wick system you are planning, sounds like more of a p.i.t.a. than its worth, I'd stick with regular, good draining pots, as marijuana likes to have a bit of a dry cycle, as in, shouldn't need constant watering, when in soil, and if it does it is probably time to transplant. If your leaves are already droopy, you may be overwatering right now.
