Fogger Design Ideas?
It's been a long night but after some serious soul searching I think I want to try a fogger system. From what I can tell I bought the good fogging unit which is the aeromist 3 head teflon one. Also from what I can tell I will need to incorporate a fan and some sort of return system for the fog. I wonder if I could just use a single tall tote then mount a pc fan inside to circulate the fog? I could suspend the fan from the lid far enough below the roots yet above the fogger unit. Even though it would be a single chamber the fan would likely still circulate the fog inside. This would be much easier then designing a two chamber system with fans going one way and recirculation designs for the condensed fog. I could even mount the fan directly to the lid on it's edge and even that would surely push the fog around in a single chamber, wouldn't it?

I ran a similiar fogger system as you describe.
If you use a fan to circulate the fog without a return system, the fog must go somewhere. It will creep upwards through your medium and your stems can become too wet, soggy, fungus, weak. etc.
Also, the ultrasonic foggers increase even large res temperature way too high! You will need a chiller to continue this system. Seems to work with clones without a chiller, as they like warmer roots, though

You don't need a fan to circulate the fog.
You do have to watch how much air you pump in if your using an airstone as that displaces the fog.

Take one more look at my foggerâ?¦..itâ??s works quite nicely. I havenâ??t continued to post all the information that Iâ??ve learned as I wasnâ??t willing to spend the time updating due to the lack of responses. The only problems that I had was that it was too efficientâ?¦.producing roots above the netpot neoprene lids. This is very simple to resolveâ?¦I will take the time to add all the information necessary if you post there. Itâ??s still on my subscribed list.

No fans, not overheating res.
