Hey Shov I wish you wouldn't have said that....now where are my scissors! I would like to flush a bit before the chop so all they are getting is water from here on out. Milky huh geez I was really hoping to for some amber just so I can tell myself I grew it to the best of my ability. The Purple Wreck is a neat hybrid, I have one leaning more Sativa and the shorter fat one is more Indica. Killa's purple is a bit different but he ran the PW from the same breeder and runs them 65-67days for 40% amber. For resin production it was recommended by the breeder to go 65 days. I want to take the fat one down......I am going to think on it just a bit. Now I will read my bible (Killa's Purp Thread) and reflect. I would love to believe I have a faster maturing pheno then normal but I don't know enough to say.

Anyone wanna chime in and let me know if you have had only Milky trichs and still had really potent herb.

EAD, I think that would be really cool to have a warped neighborhood or patch of land where people on here lived. Not much of a people person but I think the block parties the people on here would host would change my life..!

Went and started to germ three Purple Wreck's, three White Rhino's and one Wonder Woman fem seed and one fem LA Confidential. After only three full days they already broke ground and are on there way. I am just using a small 2'ft shop light with grow bulbs in it to start them and will move them to my bigger bloom box in a week or two. Finally using decent strains and will from now on. In my bloom box I have a few cfl's and one Rating: 5

hey FW, what's good? i've also had the same thing happen to me that SH is talking about. sometimes trichs just don't want to turn amber. amber is a sign of over-ripeness anyhow. THC starts to degrade quickly once the trichs turn amber so it's not really a big deal. at least make sure the majority of them are cloudy and you should be sitting pretty. keep in mind that the THC-A will covert to THC during the cure.

47 day flower session. Tried to take better macro shots but a bit too shaky today.... The first pic is from my more Sativa dom Purple W. I won't be taking it out of the box again till chop it is a pain to move. Flushed them today..

Fantastic pics!!! The 2nd pic is realy nice with purple and stuff.

2-3 weeks remaining for yours too? Can't wait to see the yeild of your grow! Looks pretty decent!!

More at 47days. I will probably keep just using just water maybe a hint of Molasses. I was thinking of taking the fat PW to make more room for the other two not sure yet.

Oh and I am really digging the smell filling the air when I take them out for the camera. When I break up the sample that I cut a few days ago it has a very fruity smell and is dense. It was a bit harsh being that at the time the lady was still being fed, but it still has a nice kick. 2 wks sounds better then three...I can't stop thinking about harvesting these three its going to make fishing all the more relaxing.

I think your right here shake but i feel real world testing and book's explanations can sometime be a bit different...Despite some of my weed looking great....i smoke weed to get high....NEVER to enter beauty pagents....i will grow Black weed if the THC content is crazy high! Saying that....i really think amber trics are a SIGN that the plant is nearing its FULL maturity...going overboard with amber trics....SOME will explode....This is not what i look for....I try to run my plants ALWAYS to 40-65% amber tricomes...The long cure i give my weed make those numbers go up because tricomes still mature during cure..Usually to 85%+ amber tricomes...i never usually see exploded or deformed tricomes.....NOT saying i havent went overboard and learnt my lesson...picking at 85% amber tricomes....I do believe ALL plants will mature to this point...but some growers are less patient then others..

I think when a plant get over rip....it will almost everytime hermi....trying to regenerate itself.....really no matter how stable the line is....ive ran most if not all my strains to the point of over rip....most of the time it the tester plants you see in my micro boxes....and that usually the reason i run them...to pull plants at different times to test the potency...and to try things different....if i ruin a plant in the micro grow...oh well its only a 1/2 oz which could be 2oz+ in the tent....I really want to do a study in this....I really think cannabis only has a 5-9 day window in which the plant is fully mature, and at full potency...It will have to be a hypothesis i test when i move to california.....I have a graduate degree in statistical process control....so i do have a good background to test this hypothesis!

Bro be patient....no point of growing a plant for 100 days only to pick it 7-10 days early....its makes such a difference when running strains with a short flowering period like the PW....65 days isnt long.....there are some long hazes down here that take a half of year of flowering! Ive picked the PW from 54-70 days i thinks its sweet spot is right around 65 days like ive said.....good luck

Killa thanks for checking in , and for talking me down! I will hide my scissors and my noose for at least 10 more days then I may revisit the idea of chopping. I figured they weren't done yet by looking at the trichs. They are for the most part milky though and barely any clear. There is growth on the PW Buds but it is less noticeable then the Wonder W for sure. By looking at the Wonder W you can see the tip of the main cola is still growing up and throwing out new white hairs and starting to fill out. I need to be busy this next two wks or this is going to drive me Bananas.

Thanks again for everyone's advice and tips... oh and I was thinking about drying the trim from this run and freezing it till the next one is done so that I have enough trim to make some hash any favorite methods? I might get a set of bubble bags.

Killa, last year one plant had 4 months of flowering, only cloudy trichs, and everything was bone dry. Dried on the cob! Even with steady supply of water.

And weed wasn't realy potent, but very pine tasty.

Anyway, for sure the best way to know when it's ready is to take samples...
