Being raped for one, thats one situation where i think they have every right to have an abortion. Also, there are times when a woman has a defect, and it would be extremely risky/lifethreatening to bring the baby to term, because upon delivery that woman could die. I dont consider a lump of cells a human being, i just consider it the potential for a human being, and losing a potential human being i think is less tragic than losing an actual human being. I'm not really sure how far along they are willing to give abortions, but i'm against them doing it once those cells start to gain the basic structures of a human being, because there is no way to tell how aware that fetus/womb baby has become, and i think awareness is what makes life special. (all life, except for the basic machine like awareness of microscopic organisms, and bugs.)

Abortion is a extreme form of birth control, but i was actually refering to just regular pills and condoms for those poorer nations.

I'm not really sure how you would prove the contraceptives failed, but i suppose you could be tested for the pill just like any other drug tests, and you could bring in the broken/leaky condom if you still had it, then it could be analyzed to confirm or deny the presence of two seperate DNA samples.
