So, I got these clones from a shop a week ago and put them in hydroton under my top drip feed. I use General Hydroponics' Flora Gro and Flroa Micro at 1/4 tablespoons per gallon as directed for seedlings. Some of the babies look great and a couple are kind of sparce. Root masses look strong and heights range from 5-8 inches. I estimate their age from cutting is about a month. QUESTION: Any reccomendation as to when to switch to full power veg. strength nutrients (tsp per gal of flora gro and micro)? Should I build the strenght up slowly?

plant a month old you should be able to go full tilt boogie on the nutes. All I have been using for about 1 1/2 years now is GH 3-part but I do have a question, you say Micro and Gro is what you are using but where is the Bloom?? GH 3-part by the label has you using all 3 parts during the entire grow. I use Latewoods Legacy and am done with gro after 2nd week of flower.

Really I was under the impression you used gro during veg then switch to bloom during flower.

It looks like island. I do not have any experience with the drip systems or how nutes work for that. I use trays and recirculating system. I have island plants though.

I use general hydroponics too. They have an entire "system" of nutes you use for each stage. It tells you for each stage which nutes and how much per gallon. I use that same schedule, and it has been going pretty well. I have a hard copy of the schedule but I am sure you can get it online at their site.

Thanks. Anyone know how many plants/space i can cover with a 1000w hps and a 4ft track light mover, and still have high yield and good bud?

probably 6-8ft x 10-12ft. take what ever a normal space for 1000w is and add 4 feet onto the direction of the light rail.

I have a 2x4 ft tray under 1000. I have only been putting about 15 plants in that tray. Now the total span is supposed to cover 2 2x4 trays, however I am not producing that much, and I really do not feel the light distrubution would be sufficient. I think it would end up comming out as the same yield on one tray. Less light to go around, too many plants shadowing each other. I would only do a 2x4ft tray under 1000. And make sure you have panda screen all around, to reflect the light back onto the plants. You will have to have an ac to cool that 1000, or the temps will soar over 100. I also have a fan set-up into the light to suck out hot air that goes into my ceiling fan going outside.

Handbasket, how much of a radius are you giving each plant for 15 in a 2 by 4 tray. I run a 2 by 4 area and I only do 8 in that. That is a sq. foot per plant to grow in. I thought that was optimal. Could I get the same yields with putting em closer?
