Irresponsible adults/-parents whatever are going to exist whether we decriminalize marijuana or not. I am guessing folks who would prioritize weed over their job, family, etc have no problem getting their drugs anyway. Makes no difference whether it is legal or not.

I am not disagreeing with you that many people are irresponsible with their life decisions. But I do not think that someone who is responsible and productive will now become an unproductive bum just because marijuana is more readily available
