I posted this on another forum and got only a little help, so I thought that I'd post it here.

I know plenty of ways to rig up a half-assed bong, but I want to make one that'll look nice and last for a long time.

Here's my idea:

Two coconuts (one for water, the other for smoke to collect in), bamboo (one thick stalk for the mouthpiece, a thinner one for the stem connecting the bowl to the water chamber, and some kind of nice-looking bowl.

Make holes, drink coconut milk, scrape out meat, etc.

Make two big holes in the top smoke chamber: one for the bamboo mouthpiece and one to connect the water chamber. One big hole and one small hole in the water chamber: big one for the smoke chamber to attach to, small one for the downpipe.

Smoke chamber sits on top of water chamber, holes matched up and whatnot.

What would be best for attaching these components? Must be heat-resistant, not subject to corrosion from smoke, and it must either look nice or be able to be made nice-looking (like if it's hot glue, I could wrap it in something).

NOTE: Adhesives (or other methods of attaching parts) must be non-toxic and must melt/burn at a higher temperature than would be reached in/on the bong. I don't want to inhale poisonous glue fumes.
