Question concerning early harvest and flavor
A friend gave me some bag seed to try out. I threw a couple plants into flower with my others. Just harvested my tried and true but am wondering about the mystery plants. They look great, loaded with bud and smell awesome. A few friends and I figure it's a sativa hybrid judging from the leaves and plant growth. The trich's are only partially cloudy at this point and I'm not surprised. The thing is, I power dried a few buds in the microwave and they taste like straw. Tried 'em again a week later and didn't taste as bad but not good. I am wondering whether to just compost the plants or finish them up. Has anyone had experience with good bud that tastes awful before fully it's ready but finishes nice? I've scoured the forums and haven't found anything to help me. Thanx a lot.
