Unless your plant has a fever and aching branches, it isn't swine flu.

well, they dont smell as nice as they did, and the lower leaves are literally crumbling off.

i couldnt even begin to guess what the problem is...

    That's lovin's disease.
Buying them bottled water will love them to death.

Distilled water will literally "suck the life" out of plants.
It's an osmotic pressure problem. Water that has nothing, steals from the soil and from the roots.
Throw some Calmag in that water and add some nutes.
Shake it well to aerate, and apply sparingly. (Don't overwater)
The damaged leaves will not recover, but the new growth will tell if it's fixed.

    Aloha,
    Weezard

    thank ya weezard!

i had read about needing to add cal mag but i thought it was only for hydro apps. but i guess the water needs it regardless.

also, im thinking i might have a nitrogen defficiency. Hopefully the Fox Farm nutes ive been patiently waiting for will help.

Im going back to tap water for now.

Oh, and will i be able to cut off the horrible looking lower leaves w.o causing any harm to the rest of the plant? or should i just let them be?

    your input is HIGHLY appreciated!
