An up and coming who needs help

So I'm drawing up plans for a grow operation and I'm determining what kind/how much light to use. I plan on starting with six plants in a 4.5x4x6 shed and was wondering what light (brand, hps/cfl/etc.., watts) and also how many I will need. Finally, using the three step fox farm fertilizer system, fox farm potting soil, 12" pots, correct ph levels and good ventilation, how much yield can be expected from one medical clone?

When responding to this please keep in mind that money (within reason) is not a factor. I am not a fan of cutting corners and I want a great crop.

Thank you for your feedback, everything helps so please feel free to criticize my game plan where needed.

you have a LOT of reading to do ... almost all of your answers, are found in the Basic Growing category, as well as the others ... we are all just members, like yourself, and can't be writing all this stuff, for every new guy that asks ... you understand, I'm sure ...

but, as a beginner, I can tell you, that you need to downsize your operation ideas ... we all kill our first plants, usually from 'overlove' ... KEEP IT SIMPLE ... grow out freebie bagseeds, on a small scale, until you are comfortable with your skills, by that time, you will be much more knowledgeable ... I read almost every grow thread at this website, before I ever made a post ... it was a LOT of reading, but was worth it ... also, take the advice with a grain of salt, like anything, there WILL be some bad info, sprinkled here and there ... use common sense ... there are very few short-cuts, that work in nature ... PATIENCE is the key ...

a 400-watt HPS lamp would serve your cabinet size very well ... around 50 watts per sq.ft. is recommended ... you can use the HPS for both vegging, and flowering (I do) ... ventilation can not be overdone, you need to keep the temps around 75, as much as possible ...

    good luck, happy gardening

people here are happy to be helpful, we just have smaller numbers lately ... a lot of our experienced growers have moved on, but our numbers will swell again, what with winter coming, more people will be inside, on their computers, etc ... welcome to the site
