    Harvesting/Drying

    Hey, another thread

I'm going to be harvesting in a couple of weeks, maybe sooner if the frosts draw in again. Rather harvest early than see my plants be killed.

When I harvest, my plants should be okay with being cut back right? I've had one grow back ( it's even starting to "bud/flower" ) from little more than a stump so I'm guessing they're reasonably hardy. Any suggestions for keeping them alive over winter? I have a greenhouse, but it's not heated.

When I do harvest, I'm going to have quite a large amount of bud. When it's all trimmed back, what would be the best way to dry it? I'd rather it didn't take too long, but it's not really an issue if it takes ~2 weeks or so. The main problem is -how- to do it and what I'll need to do it with. Also once I'm done, what'd be the best way to store it, it may take me a while to smoke it all...so looking for a good way to store it long-term....heh

p.s. What's a good way to speed dry a little? I saw someone suggest a tuppaware box, with some kitchen towel in the bottom, buds on that, then a piece of damp kitchen towel across the top of the container, with the lid rested on that, then popped into a microwave for 10 seconds, stopped, let rest, 10 seconds more. I know speeding it tends to degrade the bud, but I want something to smoke while I wait for the rest :stoned:
