Speaking from non mj experience, I will only use fluoro tubes for rooting clones. Two tube might be a little small, aas long as they are all under the light thats what matters. But for rooting clones, 40 watters are perfect imo

shit aint rooting bro i think it might be the clonex cause the one i picked up was hella thin and not thick like the ones i had before
also the fluorescent bulbs are the one from walmart the $6 a piece plant&aquarium ones comes in the single package, do you think cool white is better or the warmer one, cause i had the kitchen and bath ones from home depot but i switch it to the walmart plants one and it seems like it aint doing shit

If you put too much light on your clones they'll try and grow leaves rather than roots.

I use 2-18" 15 watt fluoros in an old desk lamp. I keep it a foot above the cloner, and my cloner's translucent so the clones just get a dim glow. Just enough so they know it's not "night."

Coincidentally, I just picked up one of those bulbs from Walmart last night. Looks like they'd be great for the first week or two (after we get some roots, that is...) Haven't tried it yet, though...

I'm not sold on Clonex. It goes bad if contaminated. Also, if you leave too much of it on the clone it dissolves the stem to mush; the clones fall right over. I've had 100% success since I switched to Dip 'n Grow (thank you, Stinky :thumbsup. It's cheaper, too.
