Miracle-gro soil
I know using it on seeds is too much for them but check this out.
I buy 6 inch tomato and pepper plants every year and plant them in straight Miracle-gro soil even when the bag says to mix it with reg soil. My plants take off and look great and put out some nice veg. SO what is so wrong with putting a 6 or 9 inch plant that can handle a horti now be put in a mix of soil and miracle-gro and do well? The ferts last 3 months but the miracle-gro food can be used on your plants that have been planted in MG soil after 3 weeks.

Miracle Grow is not for dichotomous short day resin producing plants. Tomatoes & flowers are not in the same group as Marijuana plants.
That is why you do not use Miracle Grow or anything that has the name Miracle Grow in it for Marijuana period.

What he said...
MiracleGro is alright for something like tomatoes...after all.. they are just tomatoes. the reason you don't want to use it for Marijuana is because it lacks specific nutrients that marijuana needs later in its life. it also contains to much of some nutrients. so although it may work at first, you'll end up needing to fertilize later in the plants life. this often results in over fertilization of certain nutrients.. and under fertilization of others...
In short, it's an inbalanced fertilizer for marijuana.
Idealy you should use a better grade soil, something with slow releasing nutrients...Scott's, Shultz.. there's alot of different names. usually you can use soils like that for two grow seasons.. i have
do what you can though.. if MG is what you want to use, nobody will stop you.As we live...a life of ease. Everyone of us...has all we need. Sky of Blue...and Sea of Green. In our Yellow Submarine.

Miracle-gro soil
Good answer, thanks
Is there an all in one fert for veg? and one for flowering? It seems some people use 3 things during veg, and a few on flowering.
Would anyone mind making an easy list with a link to the product of what to use during veg and one for flowering. So many products out there it can get very confusing for first time growers.
Example
Brand A for veg www.brandA.com
Also need Brand B for veg as well, www.brandB.net
Brand C for flowering www.BC.com
This would help me a lot.
Thanks

many use m.g. for tomatoes during the veg and schultz' bloom or super bloom for flowering. i use it too at times and have also used fox farms and other similarly specialized ferts...i've found with care m.g. works just as well as the more expensive fox farms-type products (i am speaking about soil only). same goes for bloom and super bloom. but i always cut the directions in half and never give more than once every couple weeks. others use a stronger strength and give more often...you'll have to find what works best for your area and conditions. experiment on different plants of same strain and you'll quickly find what's best. it doesn't take long for a reaction when too much of anything gets added which is why i suggest going slow and working up to find optimum level.
but there is no need to use different ferts for veg or flowering...one of each is fine.

If you are looking for affordable and easy....the main word easy then General Hydroponics FloraNova is for you. One bottle to veg and one bottle to flower will do a full grow. There is no need for a TDS meter only a Ph pen and some Ph up and Ph down. It does not get any easer then that. You can use cheep Ph up and Ph down lemon juice / vinegar & baking soda but with those they don't last as long and you will be playing the up and down game a lot....but they are cheep. The chemical version of up and down last longer and are more stable as well as easer to use.
Dyna-Grow also has a 1 part nutrient that is cheaper but you get what you pay for.

I have used knock offs of miracle grow, super thrive, ect...They work just fine...Some people make this a little more complicated than it really is. But beware that certain strains may not grow like others.

we're not talking about strain variation, the strain doesn't make a difference. Use cheap fertilizer, get cheap results...with any strain.
