Cannabis Rx...now what?

I now have a statement from a California physician recommending use of cannabis. My question is, what do I do with it now? His office doesn't want to tell you anything about how to buy etc., and the clubs I call want a state card. Does anyone know what the next step is in the process? Do I need a card to purchase or is this certified doctor's statement enough?

If you live in the bay area you need to go to oakland, there is a hospital there where they give you the card. I'm sure sacramento has something similar. Here in san francisco most clubs will let you in with just a recommendation as long as they can call and verify it. Sorry I don't have any more specific info, maybe you have a friend who had/had a card who can help you or maybe someone here knows

Thanks. One dispensary I went to told me to go to Oakland too, but I didn't understand why. I guess I'll just go there and get a card.
